Frequently Asked Questions

What are your rates?

Current rates are $160 for 60-minute sessions, and $225 for 90-minute sessions. Pediatric appointments are $100 and last roughly 45 minutes.

Please plan for some extra time around your session, if possible, in case our session runs a bit longer than expected.

Do you take insurance?

I do not bill insurance, but if you have massage therapy coverage, I can provide a statement with proper therapy/ billing codes for you to submit to your insurance company directly for potential reimbursement. Tip: call your insurance company to ask directly rather than reviewing your benefits booklet, as massage/ manual therapy is often a “hidden benefit” that is not listed outright. If you do have coverage, you also need to ask if a doctor’s referral and/ or pre-authorization are necessary (and you would be responsible for ensuring these requirements are met). Please note that I do accept payment via FSA and HSA cards.

Is tipping expected?

I do not ask for or accept gratuity. Pricing for manual therapy services is a flat-rate fee.

How should I prepare for my session?

Please ensure you stay hydrated before and after your appointment, as manual therapy can be quite detoxifying and staying well-hydrated will help your body tremendously in processing the work that we do. It is also advised to avoid alcohol/ toxic substances for 1-2 days before and after our session.

What should I expect after my session?

Even though many people feel an immediate increase in energy after treatment, please treat your body gently and plan to rest/ avoid strenuous activity for the remainder of the day (many folks will want to take it easy the following day as well). After treatment, your body will be busy processing the trapped metabolites, proteins and toxins that have been released from your tissue spaces into your bloodstream. For those with active autoimmune conditions, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, Lyme disease, genetic detoxification disorders or other systemic health challenges, it is possible that you may feel worse before you feel better, so please plan to give your body a full day or two to recover.

Walking around the block after a session is a great way for your nervous system to integrate this work, especially if you are in an expanded state after treatment.

Do you treat children?

Yes! I love treating kiddos, and am always honored when I have the opportunity to work with multiple members of the same family. Children often respond more quickly to treatment than adults, and typically their bodies integrate therapeutic changes much more easily. Please select “Pediatric Manual Therapy” for these appointments.

Is your space ADA compliant?

There are handicap spots near the entrance with an elevator, which you can take to floor 2/ Suite 350. The elevator entrance may be too narrow for certain wheelchairs, unfortunately. If you have concerns, please contact me so that can provide more information/ options.

What if I have lower extremity lymphedema and cannot make it in to your office?

I do my very best to accommodate my clients with mobility challenges by doing house calls. Please call me to schedule rather than booking online, as we will need to make sure we plan for adequate travel time. (Please note that this option is for my clients who are unable to leave their homes or wouldn’t otherwise be able to make it to my office).
